This drawing expresses the Yalla Project's methodology of revivification: reviving the Old City of Nablus by bringing people back into its streets, one activity and one business at a time. This work takes place amid the ongoing state of war in Palestine, where Israeli military incursions continually threaten the city, empty its streets and close its shops. Each time, the neighbourhood reopens.
